FIRST ROUND OF APPLICATIONS FOR SUMMER SEMESTER

If you plan to use this funding for the summer or fall, please ensure your application is submitted by the first-round deadline for full consideration. If you submit after this date (04/28/25) you will be considered for the next round (Fall Semester '25)

Undergraduate Education Support
**Available for all institutions**
Undergraduate Student Support Fund: Underserved students of any of our partners institutions could apply for a this student support award for a maximum of $10,000/year.
Lab Material Support Award: This award provides resources to purchase lab materials to support the research projects of the program's students at associate partner institutions. Students must apply for these funds after they receive support funds from SOIL-COP. Resources will be allocated competitively based on need and relevance.
Undergraduate Competitive Internship: One undergraduate student enrolled in Soil Science or related programs defined by partners institutions will receive a maximum of $4,000 internship support fund to work as an intern for a two months in a research laboratory within their respective university or at one of our partner institutions. These funds may complement other funds offer by the host institutions.
Graduate Education Support
**Only available for University of California-Davis, Texas A&M University, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo**
Graduate Student Stipend and Tuition Support: The project will support M.S. and Ph.D. students with limited support (up to $10,000). M.S. students can apply after completing their first year in good standing, and one Ph.D. student can apply after completing their preliminary examination. The form of allocation and amount of funding available per student vary among institutions. These support funds complement tuition and fees awards, salary, stipends, or scholarships the students may receive from other sources.
Graduate Research Internship Award: Graduate students enrolled in the Soil Science M.S. or Ph.D. program could apply for a Research Internship Award to perform research at a center or site outside the institution.
